4 days from tangier
The plan of the Trip.
Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen - Fes.
During the first day of your trip, we will meet you in the port and drive
through the Rif Mountains and Tetouan city. You get to enjoy the views of the
beautiful mountains till we get to Chefchaouan. The latter is one of the stunning
villages in the feet of Rif mountains.
Additionally, Chefchaouen Medina has a
Spanish-style square surrounded by many funky arts and crafts stores, roof-top
restaurants, and cafés. You shall have lunch there before we continue to Fes where we will spend the night.
Night at the Riad.
Day 4: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Erfoud - Rissani - Sahara Desert.
We will pick you up from your Riad then drive south to Ifrane, and
Azrou through the Middle Atlas mountains.
On the way, we will stop at the cedar forests to see the Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat.
As a result of traveling
through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges
carved through volcanic rock, you’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau and the
scenery changing to reveal hints of the desert. Specifically, as you approach the city of Errachidia.
After lunch, we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz Valley
to Erfoud, Rissani and Merzouga. After a glass of mint tea, we’ll leave our luggage
in the hotel then ride camels to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi Sand dunes.
The latter are the highest sand dunes in North Africa. The camel trek takes
about 1hr 30 min from and to the camp. The tents in the camp are well equipped
with mattresses, blankets, and cushions.
After dinner we will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the stars.
Night at the luxurious desert camp.
Day 5: Sahara Desert - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley.
After unforgettable night in the desert getting to know its culture, traditions and nature, you will
leave for something completely different: the rocky landscape of the Gorges, the high Atlas and
the green beauty of the Dadès Valley. Explore the Todra Gorge, which is one of the most
spectacular canyons in the world, with towering rock cliffs that reach 300 meters high, each
separated only by 10 to 15 meters, which extend through several kilometers .
Finally you will reach the Dades Valley which is carved for centuries by the Dades River. It is a
perfect destination overlooking the fertile valley below and the panorama of the mountains
beyond.
Night in a Hotel.
