Tangier, a Moroccan port on the Strait of Gibraltar, has been a strategic gateway between Africa and Europe since Phoenician times. Its whitewashed hillside medina is home to the Dar el Makhzen, a palace of the sultans that’s now a museum of Moroccan artifacts. The American Legation Museum, also in the medina, documents early diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Morocco in an 1821 Moorish-style former consulate.

Meet you in Tangier port and drive to Chefchaouen.
We meet you in the port and drive through the Rif Mountains and Tetouan city to enjoy the
views of the beautiful mountains. We get to Chefchaouan, which is one of the stunning villages
in the feet of Rif Mountains. Moreover, Chefchaouen medina has a Spanish-style square
surrounded by many funky arts and crafts stores, rooftop restaurants and cafés. You will spend
your night in a nice place to enjoy the breeze and the beauty of the nature.
Chefchaouen – Volubulis – Meknes – Fes.
Our authentic journey starts towards Volubulis crossing
Via Wazan and other Rif villages. In Volubulis, we will discover the Roman
ruins and learn about the archeological site of Moroccan history. After the visit of
the ruins, we will shift our way to Meknes city. The latter is the 17th century
heritage where we will stop for lunch and hang around the historical giant walls of
the medina. Later, we visit Bab El Mansour and enjoy a visit of Moulay Ismail’s
shrine . A fter the visit of Meknes, we will drive directly to Fes city where you will
spend the night.
Fes Sightseeing.
You will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco. We walk in its alleys and small
streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter,
the first Mellah ever built in Morocco. Jewish people built during the 16th century.
We will ensure that you visit all the cultural and historical sites. By way of
example, the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the
Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you
will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view
over the whole Medina of Fes.
Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz valley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Camel ride
and night in a camp.
You will travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud through the fascinating Tizi
N talghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge. In addition, taking in views of the High Atlas
plateau. You shall notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as
you approach Errachidia. There, you will have lunch and enjoy the Berber
hospitality. Afterwards, you will travel along the ravishing Ziz Valley. We will
stop in panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani.
Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. You are going to be welcomed with a glass of
mint tea. You start your camel ride to spend an overnight on the desert camp with
Berber music and sand boarding.
Merzouga – Toudgha Gorges – Dades valley.
We wake up early to see the spectacle of the sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara
before we go back by camels to the hotel. We will drive through the Saghro
Mountains. We take a short walk through Todra Gorge before arriving at Dades
Valley for dinner and accommodation.
Dades valley – Roses valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah –
High Atlas mountain – Marrakech.
You start through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The
route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand kasbahs. It provides
numerous opportunities to take great photographic shots in both the roses’ valley
and Ouarzazate. Pasing by Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. The latter is the largest
Kasbah in Morocco. T-hami El Glaoui who is one of the last Berber chieftains
during the beginning of the 20th Century built it. It used to be one of his stops
during his long travel from the Sahara to Marrakech. Now one of the UNESCO
heritage site. After that, we shift the way to cross the high Atlas Mountains, which
are full of panoramic views and attractive Berber villages; all along the way until
Marrakech.
Marrakech sightseeing.
Visit Marrakesh, the red city of Morocco and the cosmopolitan center of the country. The
surprising architecture, the intense sent of spices, the colorful and exotic atmosphere, and the
small corners and secrets in its history make this city the most desired and visited city in
Morocco. During the day, you will be accompanied by a local guide exclusively dedicated to the
city of Marrakech so you can enjoy the best the city has to offer. The attractions that you will
explore are multiple: the Bahia Palace (opulent building from the 19th century), the Ben Youssef
Medersa (old Quoranic school), Majorelle’s gardens and Saadian Tombs, and so many more.
Commerce is chaotic in Marrakech and it’s the city main activity. At night, dine at the Jemaa el
Fna Square, a market under open sky, where the mixture of scents, songs and shows are
engaging and where the most traditional and typical food can be tasted at Moroccan prices. At
the end of your day, return to the Riad.
